The Ugandan Diaspora Awards in Southern Africa (UDASA) is a heartfelt initiative established to honour and celebrate the resilience, contributions, and cultural pride of Ugandans living in Southern Africa.
Our mission is simple yet powerful — to recognise Ugandans who, despite facing new environments, legal and social barriers, and cultural differences, continue to rise, thrive, and enrich the communities around them.
UDASA celebrates more than just success stories. We shine a light on the everyday heroes who have held on to the deep-rooted Ugandan value of obuntubulamu — the spirit of neighbourliness, hospitality, and unity — even while thousands of miles from home.
We believe that resilience is not just about surviving, but about carrying your identity with pride, building bridges across cultures, and inspiring others through action, integrity, and compassion.
